It’s June 25, 2012. We’re just 25 weeks away from an election that promises to be one of the most cluster-filled, important moments in recent American history. Will American continue on Obama’s centrist path? Or will it finally tip over into right-wing madness, appointing a man who would see markets rule everything, with and taxes for the rich abolished all together, turning the mere scepter of kleptocracy in American politics into a full-blown presidential mandate?
Ahem. I am, of course, neutral on the whole thing.
Pinterest users? Not so much. As you may have noticed on the popular pin page, conservative, Bible-quoting moms of the Midwest hate Obama. They hate him for two main reasons:
- Everything bad that’s happened over the past four years is his fault.
- Everything good that’s happened over the past four years is absolutely not his doing.
Make that three reasons, my bad. The third being that Barack HUSSEIN Obama is a socialist, communist, Muslim, foreigner dictator here to take your guns and your constitution away from you, in exchange for affordable health care and education. Who wants that?
Commenter Rhonda Reynolds certainly doesn’t want that. Forgetting the fact that Obama changed Bush’s strategy in Afghanistan to include more controversial drone attacks, which led to the pinpointing of Osama’s location, Rhonda rages against liberul pinners.
Fight the good fight, Rhonda!

Rhonda says: Who makes that car you drive, the computer you use, the phone you text on? Corporations!
Other pinners reply: Who makes the pollution I breathe, the databases of my personal information, the endless tapes of my phone conversations? Corporations!
Rhonda doesn’t get the second half of that argument–perhaps she watches too much Fox? *cowers in corner, waiting for flamers*
Lemme tell you a little tale, Rhonda (and potential flamers).
Fox News once tried to expand into Canada, creating a Canadian version of its news channel. However, the plans were shot down by the Canadian government, which has a law in place prohibiting purposeful lying on television in news programs. Because Fox News disseminated falsehoods on its shows, the network was not allowed to create a channel here.
Lesson to be learned? Join Osama and the rest of us America-hating terrorists, and watch anything but Fox News. It should prevent you from making a fool of yourself on Pinterest discussion threads.
Well, I’m with the terrorists on this one. If I am monitoring my enemy’s communications, I would probably skip over the propaganda channel, and look for actual news too. Bin Laden might have learned that helpful tip from the US back in the 70′s when we were supporting that earlier glee club he belonged to- the Mujahideen. Or perhaps he took a cue from Saddam Hussein, who we bankrolled in the 80′s? In other words, Rhonda best stop supporting the US of A! Otherwise, she would be siding with the TERRORISTS!
Go Canada!
Hurray for Canadian pride! There isn’t enough of it on Pinterest. I did a search, and could find no Canadian flag-inspired jars of decorative beans, bathmats or denim shorts. Disappointed.
That’s because Canadians have enough sense to know that wearing your nation’s flag on your ass is insulting! LOL!
I loved this post!!! I am amazed how some Americans are so blind and manipulated by the media. I lived for one year in the USA. I never felt more cut off from the world then that whole year. I remember my mom calling me and telling me what was happening in Europe.Its just sad that these comments are actually people who are brainwashed by media and religion. I hope Obama does get re-elected and they get at least some decent health care!!!
Please remember there are parts of the Midwest where good liberal values thrive. I am born and bred midwest and will always live here. I am also the epitome of good liberal living! OBAMA in 2012!!
